Powers and abilities
Unfortunately, she was told that the curse could not be tamed.[4] Some time after that, one night, as Gwendolyn was preparing dinner, Dell came back to the house after being gone for an hour. On that fateful night, Dell was going to leave for the Mandible, and in order to leave "in style", he decided to set off some fireworks inside the house. However, the fireworks triggered the Owl Beast inside Eda, causing her to transform and attack Dell. During the struggle, she clawed off his left eye, leaving it permanently blind.
A colleague called her TV show ‘a dumb idea.’ It’s already been picked up for Season 2
In "Eda's Requiem", Eda overheard King and Luz talking about what will happen when King meets his dad, which gives Eda the thought about King leaving her too, making her upset. But at the end of the Gland Prix, Eda helps King set up a livestream in hopes that his dad might see it. King later revealed that he was trying to tell Eda that he's legally changing his name to King Clawthorne, which causes Eda to burst into tears. Initially, Eda took an interest in Luz purely for her human background (because actually knowing what she was selling upped her prices). However, since she has been living with her she has grown to accept her as part of her circle. Eda found it amusing that someone like Luz would not only look up to her, but also openly want to learn from her.
Episode information
Eda is a tall, slender woman in her mid-to-late 40s,[2] with ivory skin, pointed ears, maroon lips, and golden eyes. She has a removable gold fang, orange claw-like nails, and an oval amber gem on her sternum, which helped indicate when the curse was getting worse. This appears to be where random unused objects of the Owl House is stored at. In "Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Hooty's Door", Hooty transforms the tunnel into a Tunnel of Love which consists of a river, animatronics, and various cardboard cutouts in an attempt to match Luz and Amity together. A crumbling stone tower with orange moss growing on it is located to the rear left of the house.
Eda's business apparently has some form of success, as she attracted customers away from Adegast for years. Eda tasks Luz with selling potions around Bonesborough and warns her new apprentice to never befriend a man in sandals, amongst other tips for surviving the demonic city, and orders King to follow her. Despite her advice, Luz befriends a wizened (and sandal-wearing) wizard named Adegast and returns to the Owl House with a map to an object called the Celestial Staff. Upon learning that, Eda laughs and states that if such a powerful object existed, she would have stolen it long ago, which bums Luz out. While giving her apprentice time alone to process everything, Eda asks King about the wizard and suspects something sketchy about him.

Coven
But, because of the curse, her magic causes everything around her shrivel and die. Together, Eda and Raine perform Eda's Requiem and cause everything and everyone around them to shrivel and die, even themselves. Eda is prepared to make the sacrifice, but after Raine sees the picture of her with Luz and King, realizing she has a family, they stop her. However, they convince her not to abandon them so quickly and that she should confront her fears, just like Eda told them years ago.

Eda initially wore a sleeveless, two-tone maroon dress with a ripped hem design and gray tights. Her jewelry consisted of two orange spherical earrings and a gold spherical ring. Her nightwear consists of a plum sweater with amber cuffs, a stained violet nightgown, and stained light yellow bunny slippers. After witnessing Luz's "death" in "Watching and Dreaming", Eda takes on an enraged state similar to her Owl Beast form. Eda goes feral, similar to her Owl Beast form but larger; her eyes and mouth turn into a fiery orange color with a bright glow, her tail grows longer, her fangs turn longer and sharper and she gains three pairs of wings instead of one. During the Day of Unity, whilst attempting to save King from the Collector, she lost control of her curse and attacked, resulting in the Collector holding her captive in the Archive House.
Raine Whispers
Her torso, shoulders, arms, and hands are covered in dull spikes protruding from where the sleeves of her dress would be. Speaking of, fans have really latched onto the character of Eda Clawthorne, owner of the Owl House. For the purpose of the series, Eda is both mentor and mystery, acting as a magical teacher for Luz, and serving the plot as a riddle to solve. For those who are unfamiliar, Eda's moniker, The Owl Lady, is less metaphorical than she pretends it to be. She bears the weight of a horrible curse that, left unchecked, transforms her into an owl.

Luz asks King about what he is going to do when he meets his father, and he begins to say that he will leave and ugly cry. This surprises Eda, and her closing her window gets the attention of King and Luz. King then tells Luz he isn't ready to tell Eda because he isn't sure how she'll react, not knowing that she is feeling disappointed, believing that Luz and King want to move on with their lives and leave her behind. Just as she is about to put the picture into her chest box, Eda discovers her old bell cittern, and decides to distract herself by playing it. As she is playing the cittern, things around her start to float, and Eda thinks her magic has returned. Unfortunately, due to her magic still being cursed, every item begins to shrivel up and corrode, much to Eda's disappointment.
Raine then confesses that Belos' plans are a lot more dangerous than they let on, and that he is preparing some big spell for the Day of Unity, but he cannot do it without every head witch. Darius and Eberwolf soon discover that they have been following Eda's boots, which kick mud onto Darius' clothes, and the two return in a rage. Darius turns into a raging abomination monster while Eberwolf goes feral and summons a giant ratworm. Edalyn "Eda" Clawthorne, also known as the Owl Lady, is one of the two deuteragonists (alongside King Clawthorne) of the Disney Channel animated series The Owl House. She is a notorious witch outlaw from the Boiling Isles and the owner of the titular Owl House who is on the run from Emperor Belos and his subordinates. She was cursed by her older sister, Lilith, to transform into the ancient Owl Beast via a scroll made by the Grand Huntsman, although she managed to harness this form and become a harpy.
It is revealed to be separate from the house when Hooty is conjured in "Hooty's Moving Hassle". It is located in the Demon Realm located on the cliffs outside Bonesborough and is inhabited by Luz, Eda, King, and Raine. Movie,’ the elusive Peach has more personality than ever — and wins over a gamer who’d avoided the character all her life.
The Collector brings Lilith, Amity, and Camila to the house to reunite with Eda and Luz, respectfully. During the 4-year time skip, the Owl House was cleaned up and Raine moved in.[1] Eda, King, Lilith, Camila, and others held a belated quinceañera for Luz because she has spent three years helping rebuild the Isles. The Collector creates a light show for everyone to enjoy and they all give a final goodbye.
In "Agony of a Witch", it is revealed that it was Lilith who cursed Eda out of jealousy. Upon realizing this, an enraged Eda unleashes all of her magic, only to be captured when Lilith uses Luz's well-being to force Eda to use up her magic and succumb to her curse. However, Lilith is truly remorseful for what she did to her sister and wants to make amends, going against Emperor Belos when she realizes he had deceived her. Upon seeing her thrown in the same cage while facing petrification, a furious Eda attempts to kill her sister, only to be stopped by King. After escaping, Lilith casts a spell that made her share the curse with Eda.
